About STPLN:LAB
Our 12–month–long skills development program welcomes creatives from all across the cultural and creative fields, whether they express themselves through art, music, dance, design, literature, podcasts, filmmaking, photography, performances, exhibition, architecture, or games. We work hard to create an environment where you as a creative can receive the support you need for your professional development, as well as the chance to form and nurture relationships between fellow-practitioners, the public and private sector.
What’s in it for you?
We know that working in the cultural and creative sectors can be stressful and confusing, especially as the technological progress shows no signs of slowing down, and the tax system as well as applying for grants leaves you finding new gray hairs every time you look in the mirror. We also know that while building up your theoretical knowledge is vital, it should not come from the expense of staying away from practical experimentation.
This is why we want to offer you a supportive environment where you can take a break from the everyday rush, gather your thoughts, and channel your ideas into a manageable, self-sustaining, and focused strategy for your creative work. We provide a space where you can discover new technologies while obtaining healthy coping mechanisms for dealing with stress, and/or anxiety. You also get a chance to hone your online presence and obtain the tools needed to become more independent career-wise.
As a participant in the program you get:
your own desk at STPLN office;
access to workshops, media equipment, and tools;
business and entrepreneurial coaching;
a curated program of a variety of workshops with focus on broadening your knowledge of the economic, legal, sustainable, organizing, communicative, marketing, and digital sides of your business.

And the best part? Attending them is 100% free of charge, regardless of whether you have a place in the incubator program or not.
About STPLN
STPLN is an agile and flexible organization that quickly responds to the changing needs and challenges of the community. We prioritize collaboration and a practice of sharing knowledge in the development of the cultural field, while also providing support and education to newcomers and returning creatives who wish to expand their creative capabilities in the Swedish cultural scene without losing momentum.
Here at STPLN, we believe that strengthening the independent cultural and creative field can only happen through providing practical education, useful programmes, vibrant residency activities, international exchanges, as well as cross-genre and cross-industry partnerships. That is also one of the reasons why in the spring of 2022 the cultural incubator called STPLN:LAB was called to life.
