Illustrator
Arad Golan Coll is a freelance illustrator based in Malmö and works mainly, though not exclusively, with editorial illustration where he often aims to shine light on certain topics in a conceptual or playful manner, giving way to thoughtful interpretations. He enjoys working broadly in terms of format and subject though holds a special interest in personal and social themes and nuances.
His work is usually a mixture of digital and manual processes, influenced by printmaking techniques such as screen-printing and lino cut printing, using textures and overlayed colors within a limited color palette, which gives the work a tactile print feeling.
Personal work also takes part in his practice. It stems from playfulness and experimentation, a way to explore visuals and ideas freely, often leaning towards introspectiveness, often ambiguous or ephemeral too.
