Composer
Hanna Blomberg is a Malmö-based composer, violinist and teacher with bachelor degrees in both violin and composition from Malmö Academy of Music. She has a background as a folk musician and is part of the successful bands Trio Wolski and Stringflip. She is a co-founder of Trio Wolski, who plays modern folk music. The band was formed in 2016 and has since toured in Scandinavia and Europe, released three albums and received several nominations and awards for their work as a band. The folk musical tonality has also been brought into her compositions for classical ensembles and she is particularly interested in mixing tonal material with extended playing techniques. Several of her works are inspired by art created by her father Lars-Eric Blomberg. Hanna's work has been played by Musica Vitae, Ensemble Mare Balticum, Helsingborgs Symphony Orchestra, Vindla and other smaller ensembles and soloists.
