Music and Sound Art

Lucy Cathcart Frödén is a researcher and community artist, working primarily in music and sound. She's interested in how creative collaboration can play a part in building more integrated and welcoming communities.

Recently she's been working on a podcast series called The Art of Bridging, which documents a 5-year research project that used collaborative songwriting to learn about coming home after prison, and a short film soundtrack with a Glasgow-based choir of women with local and global roots.

She's currently in the early stages of developing a new post-doctoral artistic research project on multilingual urban soundscapes. She moved here from Scotland with her husband and three kids during the pandemic, and part of her heart will always be in Glasgow, but getting to know Malmö and the people in it feels like unwrapping a gift.
