PITCH & PRESENTATION TECHNIQUES

You have 7 seconds to make a lasting impression at a meeting and about 15 to 50 seconds to catch people's attention with your presentation. In this lecture and workshop, you will be guided through the most important steps of pitching and presenting your work – from rhetoric and body language to presentation material and more. The methods that will be used during the workshop are based on a format developed at the Stanford University Research Institute. The method is called Value Creation Forum and is part of a larger methodology called 5DOI - Five Disciplines of Innovation.

There is an option to stay 1 hour longer, until 12 PM, to workshop and train your pitching.

The lecture and workshop is given by Joa Falke, Innovation Manager at Malmö University's Innovation Office, with a background in fintech.

The lecture and workshop is free of charge, open for all creatives and in English.

COPYRIGHT & CONTRACTS

In today's digital age, where creativity knows no boundaries, it has become essential for artists, writers, musicians, and other creatives to understand and protect their intellectual property. In this lecture, we will explore the intricacies of copyright law, the importance of contracts, and how these legal frameworks can safeguard your creative endeavors.

As a last part in the lecture you will be guided in a workshop to create a document for a basic contract for you and your company to use in the future.

Peter Gottschalck is a Senior Lecturer at the Department of Business Law, Lund University School of Economics and Management. He has been a teacher and researcher in international law at the Faculty of Law, Lund University. He has practiced business law for several years, specializing in intellectual property law, and served as a law clerk at the District Court of Malmö and at the Scania and Blekinge Court of Appeal. He has also been a consultant for companies at IDEON in Lund & MINC in Malmö.

UPPHANDLINGSPROCESSEN FÖRKLARAD

Det finns många offentliga uppdrag för den kulturella och kreativa sektorn. En del av dem annonseras ut som upphandlingar. Det är en process och ett system som ofta inte känns helt självklart att ta sig an. I den här föreläsningen kommer vi att ta oss igenom systemet, juridiken, processen och få titta på exempel på upphandlingar inom den kulturella och kreativa sektorn. Du kommer också få tips och trix på hur bäst förbereda och svara på en upphandling.

Vi har bjudit in Amanda Creutzer och Henrik Thorson som driver Upphandlingsbryggan. De kommer båda två från kultursektorn sedan tidigare och har vidareutbildat sig till att bli experter inom upphandling och den juridik som processen bygger på. Amanda och Henrik medverkar online och det kommer finnas möjlighet att ställa frågor.

Hur en upphandlingsförfrågan ser ut
Vad du ska tänka på när du svarar på en upphandling, dvs skriver ett anbud

Lär dig bokföra till din fördel

Har du dina kvitton i en skokartong? Får du ångest bara av tanken på att skicka iväg en faktura? Nu får du möjlighet att lära dig bokföra, till din fördel. Den här föreläsningen kommer att ge dig en myriad av tips och trix kring hur du hanterar skatter, moms, fakturor, avdragsgilla kostnader och hur du kan göra din bokföring online. När föreläsningen är slut finns en möjlighet att du kommer se hur du kan använda dig av bokföringen för att ha lite bättre koll på hur det går för ditt företag. Vi lovar dig en skam- och skuldfri miljö, där det inte finns några dumma frågor.

Föreläsare är Louise Weidenstolpe, hon arbetar sedan många år som revisor för hundratalet designers, konstnärer och musiker samt som linjeproducent vid filminspelningar.

På tre timmar går vi igenom och ställer alla frågor vi har om:

Bokföring och olika ekonomiska rapporter
Skatt och moms
Avdragsgilla kostnader
Bokföringsprogram online

SOCIAL MEDIA TOOLS EXPLAINED

2023-12-05, 17:30-19:30, at STPLN

Do you feel like a slave to the algorithm? What is actually liked? And where should I be present? Sometimes the questions are outnumbering the answers. This workshop is here for you in need of a confidence boost in order to share your creative work on social media. The gain is a lot more than the pain when you've mastered some simple tricks. This workshop will be on a beginner level and no previous experience is needed.

Ottie Marusarz & Ludvig Pehr Nilson are gallery owners and are running Malmö gallery REDAN and have extensive experience in marketing by Social Media. Ottie has also worked with social media marketing for STPLN and is also a newly graduated journalist working for Sveriges Radio.

Ludvig Pehr Nilson is a web programmer working Malmö Stadsbibliotek computer team and social media content for Galleri Redan.
